The Birdsong Mission

The mission behind Birdsong is to instill a love of learning, along with the belief that each learner is unique. Learning goes beyond just sitting behind a desk. It's our belief that high quality education and instruction, especially early on, has the potential to inspire a lifelong journey of exploration.

Annie is originally from Montana, growing up in

Butte and Hamilton. She started her career

working in the school district in Denver Colorado,

more than 25 years ago. From the beginning, it

wasn't just a job for her, but a passion.  In 2005,

Annie moved back to the Bitterroot and has worked in the Hamilton school district since.  In that time, she increasingly saw a need for individualized learning and new inventive ways to spark joy in children for a love of learning.

In 2024, she decided to finally pursue her passion and start Birdsong Learning. Offering quality instruction to children in the Bitterroot Valley.

Annie has her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, with an emphasis in literacy, from Adams State University. Additionally, she has a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Montana State University. She is a certified and licensed teacher in the state of Montana, as well as a licensed K-12 Administrator.  Annie's experience includes teaching pre-Kindergarten, up to 8th grade.
